It was a pretty bottle, I thought it might look nice sitting out on the mantel, and maybe serve as a conversation piece. But even though I knew it wasn’t a magic bottle I still had to rub it. For today, the Why Do I Blog? meme from Strawberry Singh. I haven’t been blogging Second Life for very long at all, so these probably will be more relevant to my primary Tumblr blog, which is my main focus and not SL related at all (well, sometimes I cross post). But interesting questions! For once I’m typing mine up before I follow the comment links, so I’m looking forward to seeing the other answers.
Today I’ve just been enjoying my little office and feeling cute, which is, of course, my main purpose in SL 😀
But meanwhile, today’s blog meme is about names. This will be an easy one to answer, at the same time this one that reminds me that I’ve never fully bonded with my avatar’s name… or rather, I like it but I soon realized that it’s not as uncommon as I’d like. I always envied the people who came up with the creative names, the ones who managed to get a really cool play on words, or the ones that were just really unique and beautiful. (more…)
So there I was, just a few days old and totally stylin with my wings and my chipper expression and my lovely green system hair. I was so proud of having changed the textures on my clothes. Clearly I had yet to hit the mainland and realize just what shopping would mean to me.

Yes it’s meme time! One of these days I’m going to get my blog in order and put something up that isn’t a meme, but in the meantime this has been the best thing to get me blogging.
Today’s blog meme from Strawberry Singh is “My SL Pet Peeves”. I have to say reading through other bloggers lists was interesting, and I agree with lots of them. (I’m extremely amused by the Lola hate, though :D) I don’t really have a lot of pet peeves related to things that people do in SL. Almost all of my complaints would be related to performance and to Linden Lab, and they’re probably shared by a majority of users so there’s no need to go into them. So, I gave this some thought and came up with five things that frustrate me… none of it’s really all that annoying, but it does make me shake my head at the screen sometimes. So here we go: (more…)
Today’s meme from Strawberry Singh! The first thing that came to mind when I saw this one was: Well, I really should pass on this one and wait for the next, because I don’t do social media under any of my avatar names, and I have seen that some (a few? many?) people feel very strongly about not wanting to mix RL with SL, so I wasn’t sure if I should answer given that my social media is mostly RL related. But, I love social media a lot and really wanted to do this meme for myself, so I’ll just broadly discuss things without putting in the links to sites that aren’t totally SL related. (all the links to the outside world are in the menu above anyway, and of course if people see something interesting they are most welcome to follow any of my accounts ^_^)
